External dimensions are:- Ground to Front Terrace Apex 76cm(30"), Width 62cm(24.5"), Depth 43cm(17"), Base Board (excluding the step extension) 60cm(23.5") by 48cm(19").

The Facade is painted in Regency Blue and Warm White Acrylic Paint. The wide steps leading up to the entrance have been finished with a blue marble effect and are not a permanent fixture. The side windows have tiled canopies above, and the whole building is enhanced with decorative beading.

Internal dimensions: Width 60cm(23.5"), Depth 40cm(15.75"), Height 28cm(11").

The Ground Floor is the main area of the library with the foot of the staircase centrally placed with an ornate column on either side. The floor is covered in woodblock pattern vinyl and the walls with Regency Blue stripe and Gold patterned paper. The inside of the front of the building is also finished with this very attractive paper.

Dimensions:- Stair Width 16cm(6.25").

The grand staircase leads from the gound floor to the central landing and then splits, left and right, leading up to the Gallery. A large mirror with gold coloured frame hangs on the wall above the landing and adds depth to the building. There are also wall lights on either side of the mirror. The stairs are carpeted in thick pink velvet and finished off with gold coloured stair-rods. Gold coloured handrails on the back wall add to the luxurious look.

The photograph shows the staircase looking down through the open roof, the lighting is the library's own and I'm sure you'll agree, it creates a very impressive image. The stairs have been finished off with spindled banisters and are painted mahogany.

Dimensions: Height 19cm(7.5"), Width 10cm(4").

The Gallery is reached on either side by the split staircase leading up from the central landing. The floor is covered in the same woodblock pattern as the Ground Floor and the spindled banisters continue around the whole of the stairwell. The walls are lined with fitted bookshelves and all the paintwork is mahogany.

Dimensions: Opening Roof Width 46.5cm(18.25"), Height to Apex from Terrace 16.5cm(6.5")

The Roof is hinged at the back edge and when opened two wooden rests drop down allowing the roof to be held in an open position. It is finished with vinyl tiles and has dark brown beams on the inside.

The whole of the terrace floor and walls are finished with terracotta tiles.

The library contains over 380 hand sewn books along with a variety of other items.
